What earmuffs or earplugs can I use to COMPLETELY block out sounds from my neighbor upstairs?
I live in a duplex with very thin walls and I can hear tv, footsteps, talking, snoring from upstairs and from the room next to mine. I can’t even think when I hear my neighbor walking around upstairs. It is extremely distracting when i try to study. I tried to block it out by listening to music with headphones but that also distracts me. Anyone have any idea what kind of earmuffs or earplugs that aren’t that expensive and can block out these sounds effectively? I have some regular foam earplugs but I want to find reusable long lasting earmuffs or earplugs.
the ultimate would be noise cancelling headphones..
they will run you maybe $60 but they are so worth it (not white noise ones)
basically they have microphones that listen to the sound just outside the headphone and then they invert the waveform and play it through the headphone, thus cancelling out any sounds before they get to your ear…
magic huh!!!
you could also learn the art of “concentrating” if a bit of noise distracts you then frankly your a bit pathetic… put more damn effort in… or try classical music, its soothing and doesnt really affect concentration… something without words in that your brain will try to focus on.
