Stop Snoring the First Night With This Stop Snoring Solution
Finding an effective stop snoring solution can be much simpler than you think, with several measures used to combat snoring, as well as one of the root causes of snoring, sleep apnea. When sleep apnea is accompanying snoring, there can be a greater urgency and need to find the appropriate snoring solution to ensure optimal health and more restful sleep.
Snoring due to sleep apnea can be extremely loud and continues frequently throughout the night. However, the snoring will be interrupted by short pauses when the breathing is disrupted. As breathing stops, oxygen stops flowing as steadily to the brain, which could cause great problems in memory, mood, and restfulness as well.
There are several snoring remedies on the market that are guaranteed to provide total relief of snoring. But there are only a few snoring cures that actually target sleep apnea and alleviate both conditions at once. Finding a snoring solution that allows optimal breathing and ensures that both sleep apnea and loud, chronic snoring are eliminated as early as the first night of use is essential to ensure that you will not be suffering from an underlying condition with ineffective measures to combat the snoring.
What Type of Snoring Remedies are Available?
When you are looking for the perfect stop snoring solution, you will find that there are several remedies out there to stop snoring, but not many that will stop sleep apnea at the same time. Most home remedies help lessen the severity of snoring, including diet and exercise, positional therapy (to prevent laying on your back), snoring pillows, snoring nasal strips and snoring sprays.
But none of these remedies combat the root cause of snoring and the possible underlying sleep apnea. Both snoring and sleep apnea are caused by the lower jaw relaxing during sleep and allowing the tongue to fall towards the back of the throat, obstructing respiratory function and increasing the likelihood that you will discontinue breathing during sleep.
One of the most effective treatments for both snoring and sleep apnea is CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). This solution involves wearing a mask that is connected to a machine that forces air through your nose (or through both the nose and mouth). The forced air creates enough pressure to keep the airway open even when the tongue is relaxing toward the back of the throat. But because it is such an invasive treatment, it is tolerated by less than 50% of the individuals who try to use it.
An option that can be as effective as CPAP but is much more easily tolerated is the snoring mouthpiece. With a snoring mouthpiece the lower jaw is repositioned forward during sleep to eliminate the obstruction caused by the tongue falling back toward the throat. As the lower jaw is moved forward, the tongue also moves forward so that the blockage is eliminated.
However, not all snoring mouthpieces can adequately treat loud snoring and sleep apnea. In fact, most snoring mouthpieces are one-size-fits-all devices that move the lower jaw forward 50% of its maximum forward position. But each persons anatomy is different and to get the best results the lower jaw may need to be positioned at 60, 70 or 80% of its maximum forward position to totally eliminate the blockage. Otherwise, there will only be partial relief of the snoring and if sleep apnea is present it may not be adequately controlled.
The best snoring mouthpiece to solve this problem is a custom fitted mouthpiece that can be adjusted to different forward positions. A custom fitted snoring mouthpiece can also be designed to fit your exact bite, so if you have a slight or severe overbite or even an under-bite, you will get the best relief from both snoring and sleep apnea.
Until recently a custom fitted, adjustable snoring mouthpiece was only available through a dentist and could cost as much as several thousand dollars to have made. But now there is a stop snoring solution that is effective for even loud snoring and sleep apnea that provides all of the benefits of a dentist fabricated oral device at a fraction of the cost.
