Help for light sleeper?
My boyfriend and I have been having increasing problems sleeping in the same bed….I’m a very heavy sleeper…nothing wakes me up, and light snorer. He is a very very light sleeper and the tiniest movement or noise wakes him. He started wearing earplugs which seemed to take care of the snoring problem, but now my tossing and turning keeps wakes him. I hate waking up in the morning and finding him on the couch and sleep deprived. Last night I slept on the floor on the couch cushions by his bed so we were at least in the same room…. (he had to be to work today, I didn’t) I’m looking for a more permanent solution that doesn’t involve separate beds. He’s also a bit of a health freak…won’t take any sleeping pills even melatonin or valerian.
Any suggestions?
You may well have one of several health disorders. Your most sensible plan is to see your doctor and request a sleep study.
IF you don’t have an actual sleep disorder, then consider twin beds in the same room and possibly a “white noise” source in the room to drown out your snoring AND relax him as well.
