Is or Can Adderall cause anxiety attacks on non ADHD users?
I do not have adhd. I began using adderall for school. Ive used it very few times inconsistently. Lately I have been having slight anxiety/panic attacks, maybe sleep apnea? (I have woken up 2 times from not breathing, not sure if i can label this sleep apnea), and i also began snoring in my sleep. I don’t know if all of these symptoms are relative to adderall but its worth a shot to ask. I am not sure if the cause of these attacks is due to stress from school, “life” in general, my lack of exercise and my increased reliance on fast food or if it is because of the adderall usage. What do you think it is?
ADHD Medications work by raising the brain chemical Dopamine,yes,if Dopa gets too high it can definitely cause anxiety,amoung other things.
And it is not a good idea to use anything that alters your brain chemicals on an on/off schedual,that in itself can cause issues,any type of “physc med” should be taken as prescribed,and Adderall to my knowledge is a daily RX,not an as-needed drug,be careful:-)
