my one month old son has a nasal congestion problem and he rarely snores due to the congestion problem.?
what is the treatment for it? is this common in all infants?
It could be as simple as extra mucous left over from birthing or it could be possible allergies. I suggest taking him to see a doctor who is going to know the difference. I don’t know if they can prescribe anything at such a young age, but it worked well for my son who had never slept through a night until he was put on low-dose allergy medication. Until then I suggest a humidifier in the room at night and the infant version of vapo-rub (both worked well for my son)Also, changing the crib-sheets often helped (as long as they’re not allergic to the laundry soap) Some suggest saline drops for the nose but I personally found they didn’t do enough for my son to justify the ‘trauma’ of dropping liquid into his nostrils.
