Noises newborns make,,,?
we all know bubs make some weird n wonderful noises….but my 4week old son seems to always make snoring snorting noises like his nose is blocked…..anyone elses bubs do this? makes me think he has a cold but he seems fine…no temp…no runny nose….feeding well …all ok….that i know of? is this normal noise??? or could it be sign of nasal problems?
C-section babies do this worse than babies delivered naturally. It’s just the fluids in their chest that didn’t get completely expelled. Used to freak me out big time and I did ask the doctor about it. It sounded like when he ate it was getting into his lungs because that is when the noise would get the worst. However it’s just excess fluid and isn’t any danger or concern as the baby will grow out of it and my baby seemed to, by about 2 and a half months his breathing was completely quiet.
Then we started solid foods and the noises started again and I worried again until I realized he had figured out how not to swallow everything and keep some of the food in the back of his throat to make the noises on purpose! Now I have to try and keep a straight face when he does this so as not to encourage it (it leads to him coughing and then I wear the food!). It’s hard though because he is so cute doing it!
