Is this normal after surgery?

My Pug pup has had some of his nose cutaway today to help his breathing, and hes alot better. Can’t hear no snuffles or snores.

Hes been asleep since we got home today and suddenly woke up confused looking and wanting to go pee so i carried him outdoors and he hobbled into a comfortable spot to squat but was struggling to poop and eventually pooped out browny green poop. He then hobbled off to try again and nothing would come out and he was struggling and his nose was getting a little runny. All that would come out when he tried to poop was green liquidy droplets. He squat to pee also and then decided to go back to sleep. Is odd colour poop normal after fasting/surgery?

When they have a GA then it makes the whole system sluggish, and don’t forget that he would of been starved for a the period before going in.

I wouldn’t worry too much until tomorrow and see what he is doing then.

It does take up to 48 hours to truly get over a GA.

So sorry to hear that your little pug had to have this op.
