My dicwad doctor is not helping me! ?
I know someone out there can assist… All my life I’ve had sinus and respiratory problems. I’m in my 40′s and they are progressively getting worse. My sinuses completely clog up at night so I’m forced to breath through my nose and snore so loud that I wake myself up. I’ve been taking Clariton for allergies, Rhinocort (at the direction of my regular MD), and the occasional sinus congestion meds. I went to see an OTR doctor yesterday who was no help whatsoever. He stuck a long camera thingy in my nose and proceeded to tell me my sinuses look fine and I should go to a sleep study about the snoring. Okay, so I’ve been crazy and imagining I can’t breath through my nose (especially at night?)… I THINK NOT! By the way, I have a deviated septum.
I’m tired of spending money for doctors that don’t help me. Has anyone been through this with favorable results? If so, can you share? Thanks.
Your problem is probably the deviated septum. I have 2 friends that had them and had surgery to have it repaired. They are both doing great now. I have terrible sinus problems and the only thing that has helped me is Zyrtec D, 24 hour. It does make me sleepy so I cannot take it as much as I would like. It really helps a lot more than Clairitin in my opinion. Have you tried those breathe right strips? They work well for some people but others think they don’t. Its worth a try I would say. I think they help a little when I have a cold or something.
Btw I know many people that have taken Zyrtec with no sleepy side effects, I am sensitive to medications and thats probably why, maybe you should try it.
