8 Suggestions To Aid You Towards Anti Snoring

When you are all ready to get some sleep, having a snoring partner in bed with you poses a problem.  It is hard to deal with as well as unhealthy.  The good news is that there are ways to put a stop to your snoring for good. What follows here are 8 of the most popular ways to help you to stop snoring for good.

1. The first tip to attempt to prevent snoring is pretty simple – elevate your head when you lie down to sleep.  Use a fluffier pillow, or multiple pillows to accomplish this, or even try sitting up or “slouch” comfortably as you sleep.

2. If you usually use a muscle relaxer of any sort before you turn in, you may inadvertently  be causing the problem.  This applies to alcoholic beverages, sleeping pills, or any antihistamines with the side effect of drowsiness.  When your muscles relax, your airway can become narrower.  Avoid doing it.

3. Another culprit to cause snoring is any form of dairy.  Dairy products could lead to a buildup of mucus in your airway, which can very easily lead to a full night’s worth of snoring away.

4. Another cause is  that many suffer from in America is being overweight, providing yet another good reason to get into shape.  This extra weight can lead to a blocked air passage, which can lead to snoring as your body strives for breath.

5. Simply by sleeping on your side, you could potentially prevent snoring due to the way this position opens up your air passageway.  It may be difficult for you to remain this way, but to prevent rolling onto your back, you can tie or otherwise attach a tennis ball in place, onto the back of your shirt.  This may sound a little bit off the wall, but the truth is that the discomfort that the tennis ball causes may help you remain in the correct position.

6. In addition to losing weight, you should attempt to stop eating large meals just before bed.  This habit causes your stomach pushing upwards on your diaphragm, which may limit your capacity to breathe normally.

7. If you are congested, or have mucus that has accumulated in your nose and throat, you will be more likely to snore.  For you to limit this effect, you should try to breathe in steam from a hot shower, or plug in a humidifier by your bed as you sleep.  This will add moisture to your throat and alleviate this issue.

8. If you regularly smoke cigarettes, then here is a great reason that you will want to quit.  Smoking can lead to snoring.  Try not to smoke just before bedtime.  Smoking will bring about an inflamed and swollen throat, making a stop snoring effort pointless in the end.
