Before we get started, it is important that you understand something about snoring. Like other health conditions, snoring doesn’t just happen to us without cause. In most cases, snoring is the result of the lifestyle we live. Quite simply, if you change your habits, then the resulting medical condition will go away. For example, I have a friend who is extremely overweight and has diabetes. He used to weight over 400 pounds. After about a {year|few years} of exercise and dieting, he has now lost over 100. Step One
Certain foods, those that are oily or full of sugar should be avoided. These kinds of foods are believed to cause snoring. They also lead to weight gain which also causes snoring.

If you are overweight, it is most likely that this is the cause of your snoring. Or, it is at least making an existing snoring condition even worse. Sometimes losing as little as 10 to 20 pounds can stop or reduce.
