Reasons To Start Exercising Now
We all know the dangers of being over weight but many people think they don’t have to worry about these dangers until they’re much older. Some people don’t mind being big and don’t care about the way they look or the fact that they might die sooner but there are other things that be damaging their quality of life now.
The more overweight you are the more likely you are to snore. The technical cause is sleep apnoea which means you struggle to breathe more whilst you’re sleeping which results in snoring. If you’re not getting a good nights sleep each night you’re going to be damaging your health and if you sleep with a partner your snoring is bound to be damaging their nights sleep too. People with sleep apnoea find it harder to enter a deeper level of sleep which means they’re not as well rested which over time can lead to heart problems, diabetes and even increases your likelihood of suffering from a stroke. You can avoid this by simply digging out the old fitness equipment and getting rid of a little of that excess weight it won’t be long before you can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep.
Research has shown that over thirty percent of obese people chose not to wear a seat belt as they find it too tight and uncomfortable. So it’s hardly suprising that stats show overweight people are statistically more likely to be really hurt in a car accident. If this describes you and you drive around expecting your inflated stomach to double up as an airbag in the event of an accident then you really need to invest in something like a power plate and start dropping that weight.
These are both things that are affecting your quality of life now, so saying you’ll deal with your weight when you’re older is not going to cut it any more. You don’t have to jump head first into an intense exercise plan, use something like a vibration trainer to get used to the idea of exercising slowly.
