2 year old snoring very bad after adenoid removal?
My 2 year old had her adenoids removed yesterday. The surgery went great and no complications. The adenoids were removed because she had a constant runny nose (which lead to pneumonia 3 times this year) and always a cough (due to the draining). She never had any snoring problems before. Now her snoring is so horrible neither one of us sleep good. I’m getting worse sleep than she is which means we are both very irritable. My daughter woke up numerous times last night and since it is Saturday her ENT is out of the office. I was more so wondering if anyone else experienced this after an adenoid removal? and if they did how did you stop the snoring? The doctor did not take out her tonsils because her throat is never sore. Also I know she was not in pain and that what not the reason for waking up. She would snore so loud that it would startle her. Any advice would help!!!! I am desperate. She is taking a nap now and still snoring louder than most grown men!
call the surgeon & prop her up on a pillow. run a vaporizer in the home, give her plenty of fluids, and treat any pain.
