Any way to change from a light to heavy sleeper?

Ever since October, I have had horrible sleep due to having to have a roomate (financial issues), and this son of a bitch is always up until 3am, so I can never sleep because he’s always playing online games or watching TV, etc. just making noise in general. But the worst thing is his HORRIBLE SNORING. But in many ways I cant blame him because we have different schedules, mine being early, and his late. Ive always been the type that always had to have the room dark and quiet, with no sound in order to sleep.

Now it has gotten to the point where I cant stand it anymore.I am not a very bitter, impatient pessimist cause I cant ever sleep. I cannot remember the last day I funtioned feeling good and refreshed, melatonin doesn’t work, nor does any other aid. Ear plugs I wear now, but it hurts and is always lumpy and uncomfortable.

He, on the other hand, can sleep through a storm with ease. How can I be like him? I hate our sleep-related conflicts, he’s a nice guy other than this.

No, it’s not conciously possible really, I don’t think. Maybe try sleeping pills, like Lunesta, or something. If you don’t want that I suggest either rolling up a blanket to cover the crakc in the bottom of the door, I used to do that when I was little and my older brother was having house parties, haha. OR tell your friend to turn down the TV and his video games.
