Any adults who have had their tonsils out, can you please answer my question? Thanks.?
I am 26 yrs old. I snore pretty loudly every night, I wake up and I am still tired even after getting plenty of sleep. I sometimes wkae up 4-6 times a night to swithbody positions, one time is usually to go to the bathroom. I have very frequent headaches. I went to my doctor yesterday. She said she wanted me to try physical therapy for the headaches, because my neck is so tight. She also gave me flexeril, which made me way too tired. She did say I have large tonsils, and that she would give me a referrel to an ENT. So my question is has anyone had their tonsils out, and their snoring stopped and they woke up more refreshed? I have had testing done for my headaches and they are all normal. I also had labs done, and all came back normal, I am hypothyroid but that has been at a .7 or .8 for a long time which is a good number. Please let me know your experiences. Thanks again!
Occasionally they will take tonsils out at your age. Are you making sure to just use one pillow so your airway stays open? Obesity causes airway obstruction which can be cured by BiPap systems. Flexeril comes in different doses and Amerix is flexeril but is time released so works better for some. Off the cuff,,,, you may just need an allergy med to help with snoring, headaches.
