living in NYC?
i know a pal in NYC who says its very very difficult and very expensive living in NYC.He says even if u work u cant save,u cant overcome the tempting fast foods and everything from transportation to clothing to food to just even snoring is just TOO expensive in NYC especially if u are the type who wants to save.whats the advise to any fellow who wants to move to NYC on a low bugdet and dont want to overspend?What is the trick in other to live a happy and debt free live in NYC?How can a novice in NYC know all the tricks in terms of saving and choosing average priced services?Is it difficult getting a job in NYc as its said always?How good is NYC from the other states in the Us where u can save?Whats he advice to a visitor on a low budget when he/she visits NYC?In general is it BETTER living in NYC than being in KY,OH,MN or MD or any low cost states?
There’s a reason NYC is more expensive – because there is high demand to live here. To answer your last question, yes, it is better to live in NYC (although I haven’t lived in any of the other states you mentioned and would never ever have a desire to).
There’s really no secret to living here. Get a roommate, get a reasonably priced apartment (check out the listings on nyt.com to get some ideas), get a job or 2, and watch your spending. You don’t need a car, but you need to consider transportation costs, or get a bike.
No one ever says they want to live in Kentucky when they grow up.
