Lack of sleep pain is too much to deal with; what can I do?
I really can’t sleep.
In the last 48 hours I’ve slept 2 1/2 hours and it’s now 10.40 PM and I know I won’t be able to fall asleep again.
The reasons I can’t fall asleep is because of general anxiety and my partners snoring (I wear ear plugs and he takes pills and a nose thing but it doesn’t stop. We take turns sleeping on the lounge but I never sleep on it for more then 30 minutes).
I suffer from a constant headache from the lack of sleep. I can’t deal with it any longer. It’s been months of little to no sleep and I feel like throwing myself off a building it’s that hard to deal with.
I’ve been to a doctor but he won’t help (he gave me a referral to a psychiatrist but that costs LOTS of money I don’t have).
Please help me, I really can’t cope much longer.
Here are some ideas:
1. Sign up for the free emails on the panicaway website – there is an email on ‘trying to get to sleep’.
2. Here is an article about the link between nutrition and insomnia – it is at the bottom of the page:

3. For any anxiety:
Check for a gluten sensitivity.(There is a theory that some people suffer from leaky gut syndrome, the wheat goes through the gut and straight to the brain, acting as a drug, which can make you feel ‘crazy’ with thoughts.)
Try doing Byron Katie’s “The Work” – this is a cognitive therapy consisting of four questions to help you unwind any fearful thoughts.
Best wishes.
