How Can I seal off a vent between two rooms?

Between my bedroom and the guest room there is a vent in the wall. I need it to be sealed off. What I need is to soundproof. My dogs sleep in the guest room and they snore very loud. I can’t get to sleep with it. I have no idea why the vent is in between the two walls but it is. and I need the sound gone. how would you go about this? I need a NON-permanent way that is easy and quick.

remove the vent. Put in fiberglass insulation. cover the holes with sheetrock or what ever the rest of the walls are made of.
