Adenoids removed in young children?
My 5 yr old son is having tubes put in his ears to drain fluid & his adenoids removed because they are large, he is a mouth breather, is stuffy a lot, & snores. Adenoids are supose to stop germs from getting in the lungs. So if you or your child had their adenoids removed, do you/they get a lot of chest infections?
I do not know personally, but my cousin had similar proceedures done when we were small and she was pretty healthy. She never contracted any serious chest infections. Just your average colds and whatever from daycare/kindergarten.
