What do you think of my friend snoring?
My friend is only 20 and his snoring is terrible most nights. It keeps me awake and is frustrating. I know their operations are out there to fix it, and some say exercise helps. The nose strips and sprays do not work, because it made his throat, not your nose comes. He believes he has sleep apnea, but we do not have the money for this test. Anyone else experience this and can recommend a solution thayt worked for them? Sometimes does not sleep on their backs, but if it really bad snoring, sleeping on his side not help at all. Sorry, one more thing. I have earplugs considred, but I need to hear the alarm, get up. An alarm wakes him rarely, I usually wake him up.
Your friend needs to seriously Considering undergo tests for sleep apnea, especially if the snoring seems to be neck-based. I bet he has. Age is no factor, I've heard children in the Age of 12, it can have. I did it and did not know. For me it was not a snoring problem, there was a problem with not always a good night's rest. I woke in the morning and feel are exhausted. I was tested three years ago and was shocked to learn that I'm breathing 30 times in 3 hours, woke essentially stopped me. When the clinic moved me, they put me on a CPAP (controlled positive air pressure machine) and I fell into deep REM sleep for the first time I can not remember. Since then I use the CPAP every night and sleep like a baby. You will, too. I can not stress enough, the health impact of this on the lack of sleep. It is a heavy burden on the heart and respiratory system. I can not speak to your financial problems, but this should be a health insurance if your doctor makes the referral. According to my doctor the surgery has only a 35% cent success rate. I did not like the odds. My experience with Breathe-Rite strip was mostly negative, although they were helpful when I was in the gym (-:
