What should my fiance when his uvula is usually large and touched his tongue?

He claims that he does not choke you. However, I am not sure if these other symptoms are similar, but I'm worried that it might be the cause of noisy breathing through the mouth and can be extremely loud snoring. Sometimes He is even snore when awake. While listening to his breathing, it sounds very fast and shallow. Almost as if he's not breathing in the lower lobe of the lung. I'm not trying be funny if I make this comparison, however, he sounds like Darth Vader when he breathed, but faster. We have tried humidifiers, we pillows, different positions, Breathing exercises attempted. PS We have inquired with his doctor and we know that he does not suffer from asthma.

My guess is the long uvula and soft palate are snoring help. It probably has zero to do with the depth or speed of his breathing. I propose to see a ENT. ENTs do palate / uvula surgery shortening in an attempt to solve the snoring problem. There is an over-the-counter appliance, which often helps the snoring. It should be before you try ENT. The device forces the lower jaw (mandible) forward while sleeping, to expand the airways. Some patients swear by it. I think you'll find it in the dental program at any large drugstore chain.
