Do you think these mayb be signs of OSAS?
I have a three year old with these symptoms, and I am trying to figure out what it might be, and I am starting to think it might be OSAS, what do you think?
1)Snoring during the night
2) He had tonsils and adenoids removed a year ago and snoring still continues
3) Wakes up often during the night, and falls back asleep after couple minutes
4)He doesnt take naps during the day and is always tired even though he gets about 10-12 hours of sleep during the night
5) He does not listen at all
6) He is very aggressive (yells, hits, cries all the time)
7) It doesnt seem that he can put his attention on one thing for too long
What do you think? I am going to contact my doctor as soon as he gets back from vacation but wanted to see if this might be the problem
If it’s the same doc who yanked te tonsils and adenoids and thought that would take care of the snoring. Get another doc. Tonsils have been shown to only affect snoring in very, very, rare and few cases now. It use to be pointed at all the time but they now know it isn’t the issue in most cases. See if you can have the child sent for a sleep study.
